The Peak tourist season extends form late September untill the end of November when the post monsoonal air is clear and when neither the Terai is too hot nor the trekking regions too cold. December, January and early February are the coldest months, during which temperature can drop below O degree around Kathmandu and snow limit trekking opportunities.
Tourists can acquire information they need form different government tourist information centers. They are located at Tribhuvan International Airport, Basantapur, Pashupati, Pokhara Airport, Birgunj, Bhairahawa, Kakarbhitta, Janakpur and Jomsom. The Nepal Tourism Board, Tourist services center has its own information centers to provide information and guidance to the tourists. They also distribute booklets, folders, posters and stickers etc. free of cost.
